Director of Strategic Accounts
Alison Smith is the Director of Strategic Accounts at Meritech, a visionary organization focused on redefining human hygiene. Alison has over 17 years of experience in sales and sales leadership roles supporting a variety of markets including pharmaceutical and medical devices, biotech, food and beverage, healthcare, education, and hospitality.
As the Director of Strategic Accounts, Alison focuses on channel partner and new market penetration as well as supporting large organizations with the evaluation and implementation of Meritech’s automated hygiene technology at a corporate level. She is passionate about consulting and guiding organizations on overcoming the pitfalls of current hygiene practices and developing long-term partnerships for hygiene excellence and safety.
Prior to joining Meritech, Alison worked at VWR, a global supplier of life science solutions, as a cleanroom and production chemical specialist. Alison received her degree in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Outside of Meritech, Alison enjoys traveling with her husband, Nick, attending concerts, sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
Chief Technology Officer
Paul Barnhill is Chief Technology Officer and head Engineer at Meritech, the leader in automated employee hygiene. He has over 28 years of experience working with professionals in food manufacturing, healthcare, and foodservice to understand the challenges they face when creating hygiene programs and how to overcome these obstacles through education and automated technologies.
Mr. Barnhill often speaks on best practices in hand hygiene, footwear sanitation, and the science behind pathogen removal. Helping food processing and packaging facilities produce safe and healthy products through hygiene excellence is a passion for him. Prior to joining Meritech, Mr. Barnhill worked at Medtronic , Inc. a leader in cardiovascular equipment and implantable devices, in their Hemostasis division as a Mechanical Designer within the R&D department. Mr. Barnhill earned his accreditation degree from the A.I.D.D. (American Institute for Design & Drafting).
When he's not inventing a new method for guaranteeing effective hygiene, you can find Mr. Barnhill spending time with his loving wife Ann of 26 years, son Josh, daughter-in-law-to-be Emily, and dog Beau at his home in Aurora, Colorado.
Director of Marketing & Communications
Jennifer Taylor has served as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Meritech since 2018. She leads a team responsible for developing communication strategies that help advance the organization’s efforts to redefine human hygiene and the sharing of effective hygiene best practices. These strategies include thought leadership, partnerships with membership organizations, digital content marketing, social media, media outreach and conferences.
Jennifer has over 8 years of experience in leading marketing and branding strategy and working with B2B businesses to activate increased demand. In 2011, Jennifer published a research paper entitled “The Effect of Interactive and Traditional Media on Relationship Building” where she partnered with the U.S. Army Garrison Japan to evaluate the effect of interactive media in developing organization-public relationships as opposed to traditional media broadcast. Jennifer also serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Colorado Boulder and speaks on best practices for effective business writing, SEO, and digital content marketing. Jennifer attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Communications and a B.A. in International Studies, and then later earned her M.B.A. from Bethel University.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Spencer, and two children Evelyn and Silas.
