Meritech continues to support philanthropy partner DevelopmentalFX in extending critical neurodevelopmental therapy via telehealth model with the sponsorship of resource-packed kits for children.
GOLDEN, Colo., July 9th, 2021 --Meritech, the leader in automated hygiene technology continues to sponsor Developmental FX’s therapy kits designed to support children in the Denver area continuing remote therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Developmental FX is a Denver-based nonprofit providing unique, individualized therapy to children with a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities. One of the most unique aspects of DevelopmentalFX is its SpIRiT Model, an extension of the STEPSI therapy model that is designed to help children overcome neurodevelopmental disorders through play.
Due to continued social distancing measures put in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Developmental FX has decided to again create therapy kits for their patients and their families to provide them with tools and resources designed to support remote therapy.
“We serve children with neuro-diversity all different kinds of neuro-diversity, and we provide therapeutic services for those children and their families,” said Meritech Executive Director and Co-Founder Tracy Stackhouse. "Very often the children and the families need some tools right at their fingertips so that when the therapist gives them an idea of a home program, they know just what to do. Having these kits allows us to just facilitate home programs with a lot of ease. And that just makes our job so much easier, but it also makes the kids feel really special. And really importantly, this is a project that allows Meritech and DFX to work hand in hand every year to bring something really important to our kids and family.”
The kits are brightly colored and contain toys, art supplies, activities, and writing utensils that support therapy with DFX. They were funded by philanthropy partner Meritech, a hygiene technology manufacturer based in Golden, CO, and assembled at their headquarters on Thursday, July 8th. Developmental FX was selected as Meritech’s dedicated philanthropy partner in 2019, and since that time Meritech has supported the organization through series of charitable donations.
