On October 15th our team celebrated Global Handwashing Day! On this day we encouraged everyone to spend some time increasing awareness of the importance of handwashing and educating others on the proper handwashing steps. Our team shared why we washed our hands, held a social media contest to encourage others to celebrate Global Handwashing Day and put together an entire toolkit to encourage hand hygiene education.
As part of Global Handwashing Day we wanted everyone to understand the “why” behind good hand hygiene. At the Meritech headquarters in Golden and across the United States, our team filled out their handwashing pledge, letting us know why they washed their hands.
We also celebrated with catered lunch, which our partners in hygiene excellence could also win by sharing their Global Handwashing Day event on social media!
We also encouraged all of our social media followers to join the hygiene revolution by downloading the Global Handwashing Day Toolkit and posting images of their teams celebrating Global Handwashing Day!
